Our Legacy - Quality and Professionalism
In 1957, Richard J. Hill, Bryan Hill’s father, began his training
at O.I.T (Oregon
Institute of Technology) thus beginning the land surveying
legacy that Accurate Land Surveys, Inc. now continues. Richard
continued his Land Survey business with a wide variety of survey
services; timber sales, constructions sites, BLM projects, Weyerhaeuser
projects, Alaska pipe line, subdivision -- designs, layouts and
sales. Richard had survey offices in Bremerton, Long Beach and
Moses Lake Washington. He carried professional licenses in Washington,
Oregon and Alaska.
Bryan worked with Richard up until his father’s tragic accidental
death in 1978, a helicopter wreck while surveying in the Seattle/Tacoma
watershed.
Throughout the years Bryan has continued in the discipline of
Land Surveying. Bryan spent 4 years at N.W. College in Kirkland
Washington, 2 years of Survey training through the Southern California
Apprenticeship for Surveyors in the Los Angles. Then went on to
take 2 years of Survey training in Sacramento California with
the Northern California Apprenticeship. Bryan became an in house
Land Surveyor for one of the largest construction companies in
California, Teichert Construction. While at Teichert various services
were preformed; such as, construction staking, utility locates,
topographic checks, quantity calculations, Material takeoffs and
working with other entities of the construction company to better
inform them of the surveyor’s ability to assist them with the
departments’ unique services. In 1996 Bryan moved back to the
Northwest, settling in the Beaverton area. Since then Bryan has
attained his professional license in both Washington State and
Oregon. He worked for four years at Washington County reviewing
Record of Surveys and Subdivision plats. Then he began assisting
their Road Department with right of way delineations and road
establishment and re-establishments. Bryan has a wide variety
of experience, from construction staking to the project surveyor
on such projects as airport projects, landfills & high rises.
In conventional surveying Bryan has experience in plats, property
surveys, timber surveys, ALTA surveys, Architectural surveys and
flood plain surveys.
